Villa Tortugas - a retreat in the jungle
Only a few minutes from the world renowned beaches of Akumal, Villa Tortugas (Home of the Turtles) was created as a jungle sanctuary. A special place to enjoy the sounds of nature and escape from the bustle of one of the Riviera Maya’s most popular destinations. Garden paths wind through palm trees, nature-carved rock sculptures, a duck pond, brick BBQ oven and capacious banquet table. The six cabañas all peer through the garden at the azure blue pool. Garden Walking Paths
Wander through the property on hand-laid stone paths that wind through rare palms, citrus trees, agave, beautiful exotic flowers and other tropical plants. Numerous bird species are native to the area from hummingbirds to toucans. The cenote pond is home to a duck family and ever watchful iguanas keep track of the grounds 24/7.
Bathe by Sun or Moon Light
Take in the sun then take a dip in the cool waters of the inviting pool. Spend all day relaxing or enjoy floating under the stars. Enjoy a morning swim to start the day or a soothing dip before bed. There is Wifi pool-side but try not to spend your whole day “working” by the pool.
Six Cabanas - Six Tortugas
Each of the studio cabanas is named after one of the local sea turtle (tortuga) species that can be found nesting on the beaches. Available with multiple bed configurations for families, each cabana features a “palapa” patio, a sink/prep counter, eating bar, separate bathroom with shower, AC and ceiling fans.
The Cabanas & Hacienda
Our six cozy cabanas offer homey, tortuga-themed accommodations with amenities to make your stay comfortable, whether for one night or for a month. Relax on the “palapa” patio in front and soak in the jungle ambiance or walk a few steps along the garden paths to the swimming pool.
In the main Hacienda, you’ll find the master suite and the guest room.
